Hello, everyone! I hope you are well. This week I thought I’d do something a little bit different to my usual blog posts and talk about beauty. I’m not really a beauty blogger but I love make-up so much so I thought I’d give this a go.
As a student, it is very difficult to spend £30 on a Mac foundation as that’s pretty much a weekly budget for food. Therefore, all the products I use are from standard high street stores such as Superdrug, Boots, and even Tesco. I’ve divided it into three categories: eyes, lips and face.
I don’t know about you guys but eyes are my favourite feature about any person. That also means I like to make them stand out and these are my favourite products to do so.
- Waterline: BeYu Soft Liner in ‘516’
Perfect subtle liner for your waterline to brighten up your eyes if you haven’t gotten much sleep.
- Eyeliner: L’oreal Super Liner in ‘Intense Black’
This is pretty much my favourite eyeliner. It helps you create the perfect winged eyeliner or just a subtle line across the lashes. Pretty much suitable for anything! And the colour pay off is amazing as well, definitely worth checking out.
- Mascara: Maybelline Lash Sensational in ‘Black’
This is the best mascara I have ever used. Don’t get anything else, trust me. It makes your lashes thick and super long looking. I’m never using any other mascara.
- Eyebrows: NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in ‘Black’
Perfect for sorting out your brows and if you’re not too fussy about filling them in perfectly, a quick stroke over the brows with this and you’re good to go for the day.
- Eyeshadow: H&M Eye & Brow Shadows in ‘Dark Neutrals’
Perfect eyeshadow and brow combo. I mix the dark brown and black together for the brows and use the glittery shadows for my eyes. I love this so much!
- Eyeshadow: NYX Single Eyeshadow in ‘Sin’
I use this every day as an inner corner highlight. As you can probably tell, I’m nearly running out, which shows how much I love it.
2. LIPS (from the left)
- Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in ’38’
This is your perfect natural baby pink shade.
- New Look Matte lipstick in ‘Latte’
I love this lipstick as it is one of the few matte shades I have. It’s a perfect nude lip for every day use.
- New Look Pure Colour lipstick in ’23 Mink’
This is another nude, very similar to the matte one but this one has a much more creamier finish. One of my favourite lipsticks of all time.
- Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in ’08’
This is the darkest one of them all, very similar to the Kylie Jenner liquid lipstick Candy K.
- NYX Liquid Suede in ‘Soft Spoken’
My only liquid lipstick that I tend to use on nights out as it is quite dark but super long lasting. Definitely recommend checking them out if you’re into Kylie Jenner lip kits as they’re very similar.
- Collection Primed & Ready Mattifying Pore Minimiser
I love putting this on before my foundation. Protects my skin from blemishes and makes the rest of the make-up glide on.
- Maybelline Dream Pure BB-cream in ‘Light’ with Salicylic Acid
I haven’t used proper foundations for years as BB-cream are proven to be so much better for your skin. This doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily and the coverage is medium but buildable. Definitely a staple in my make-up bag.
- Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in ‘003 Peach Glow’
I never ever use any other powder because this one is perfect. Provides some extra coverage and keeps your face matte all day long. There’s not much more to ask for.
- Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in ‘1 Fair’
The most perfect drugstore concealer. Super high coverage and very long lasting. You definitely need one if you don’t have it already!
- Essence Matt Touch Blush in ’20 Berry Me Up’
The most perfect colour for a natural blushed look. Great colour pay off and blends easily. The best part though – it only costs a pound in Wilko! Bargain.
- Collection Highlight & Sculpt Contour Kit
The perfect kit to get a natural bronzed and contoured look as well as the most beautiful highlight on your cheekbones. Very affordable but high quality. This is my second one because it’s simply amazing.
I hope this helped some make-up lovers like me find some cheap beauty products that are actually worth so much more. Have an amazing weekend!

Hello, guys! I hope you’re having an amazing time whatever you are doing (unlike me who is ill in bed and has to take antibiotics). Today’s blog post is a little bit different. I hope to inspire people to either create something new, improve what they’ve already got or to go explore the world.
I have recently been getting messages suggesting that my YouTube channel and blogging career have inspired others to do the same. This is very surreal to me as I once was scared to start doing all of this in the first place. The very first YouTube videos I created were silly fandom videos (clips of celebrities edited to fit a song). I just liked the whole community of it and wanted to be more involved without people judging me. Very few people knew about this as I was very insecure about having a channel although I shouldn’t have been.
Years went past and I finally made my own personal YouTube channel about my life. More specifically, my travels. I’ve always loved exploring so I thought I’d share that passion with the world. I wanted to show people all the amazing places I’ve been to and all the experiences I’ve had. The feedback to this was lovely as I started sharing them on my personal social media accounts. More and more people started subscribing and keeping up to date with what I was doing, both on my channel and my blog. However, people wanted more, they wanted to see the person behind the camera and what she’s like.
Then I took all the courage I had and started recording videos. Of myself. In my room. Actually speaking and looking at the camera. Something I never thought I’d have the courage to do. At first, of course I felt like the whole world was going to judge me. To my surprise, that did not happen. Everybody was so incredibly supportive, which made me keep going. I ended up vlogging my whole month of December and I still make videos every week to this day. I love this vlogger/blogger community and I have had some amazing opportunities offered to me, which were never possible before.
I guess the point of this story is for you to never give up (I know how cheesy that sounds). You might not want to become the next big YouTuber but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pursue what YOU want to do. Forget about other people and the possibility of judgement because at the end of the day, what matters is your happiness. Do what you love. Improve what you’re working on or start something new. Or go explore the world of options. It is all there for you. Turn your dreams into reality – it is all up to you.

Hello, all my lovely blog readers! I hope you are well and not feeling too frozen in this icy cold weather. Now Christmas and New Year’s Eve have passed, most of our money has probably gone. That is why this week I thought I’d tell you a little bit about some FREE websites in order to…
- Save you some money!
- Enhance your uni work!
So here we go!
I cannot even tell you how much I use this. This makes referencing SO easy and I feel like everybody needs to know about it! It is completely free to use and it is so simple. You can either fill in the appropriate slots to create the reference or, most of the time, it finds the reference for you by either typing in the author or the title of the book. How amazing is that! It also lets you create folders for different subjects so it is always super organised and easy to look through everyone. This is a total student saviour and the referencing is 100% correct. As a final year student, I have never had a problem with it! AND it’s free to sign up! Perfect for students!
2. Prezi Presentation
This is amazing for all students but especially marketing students in order to stand out from usual PowerPoint presentations. Prezi is a presentation software online. These presentation slides are pre-made and animated yet still look very professional. They can be modified in all sorts of ways but I think it is an awesome program online and it makes presentations a thousand times more fun. It’s difficult to describe but go ahead and check it out yourself!
Discounts. Yes, that is pretty much all I’ve got to say. It’s a website/app for you to get amazing student discounts, and guess what, it is completely free! All you have to do is sign up with your student email and you’re good to go. 40% off at ASK Italian, 10% off at Superdrug, 20% off at PureGym and so many more! Go have a look because it’s definitely worth signing up to!
4. Save The Student
This website has it all, from Student Finance information to getting a job and making money. It’s an amazing place to find freebies and incredible student discounts so I am constantly on the site looking for some student freebies! You’d be surprised how much there is! The website also provides help with finances, bills, jobs, housing and saving money. Everything in one place. I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me!
I hope this blog post saved you some money as well as gave you some ideas for creative uni work! I hope you’re having the best 2017 and doing amazing at your exams. Until next week!

Hello, everyone! I hope you are well and that you’re making the most out of the New Year. Many people set some resolutions for the New Year to start it off productively. I’ve done it every year but I feel like my resolutions have been way too strict for me to go through with them so this year, so I thought I’d have a different approach. These are my resolutions of 2017:
1. Make my body happy.
People often set goals in order to lose a certain amount of weight, how much muscle they want to gain or how they want to look. Instead of doing that and setting myself unrealistic goals, I find that it is important to focus on what is constantly working on keeping you alive – your body. So what makes our body happy? Giving it what it wants. Yes, it is that simple. I know everyone knows to eat their veggies to keep your body healthy but don’t forget that it is okay to treat yourself sometimes. Sometimes your body will tell you that it simply cannot function any longer without some pizza. It is completely fine. Let your body tell you what it craves and let it have it. But of course, don’t give it all it wants all day every day too! For example, having too much dairy causes spots – so limit your dairy intake for a while. Listen to what your body is telling you and you and your body will be happy.
2. Make my mind happy.
This is incredibly important. You need to have a happy mind in order to achieve anything in your life. It took me a while to realise but I am 100% focused on keeping my mind healthy and happy. Let go of the people that don’t make your life better – if they constantly make you sad and upset, it’s time to not let them affect you in the New Year. This does not mean leaving your friends who are going through a hard time, not at all. If they’re friends who are always there for you too, they are the positive people in your life to keep. Don’t let them go.
Don’t stress yourself out. University and work can be very stressful sometimes. I have days where I feel like I am suffocated by the work and in the end I don’t get anything done because I feel like I cannot even concentrate on the work because of the stress. It is important to know that it is okay to take breaks and have fun even when you have uni work staring at you. I just want to look at my work and actually feel like I’m able to get through it. This is what this year is about.
I hope this blog post inspired you to look at New Year’s resolutions differently. Make yourself happy – both your mind and your body. As long as you’ve done that, you can conquer anything life throws in your way.
