Hello, everyone! I hope you’re doing amazingly and that you had the best Valentine’s Day no matter if you’re a single pringle or madly in love.
There are so many different opinions about Valentine’s Day so I thought I would share mine as well. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Valentine’s Day at all. I know people tend to say that this is just a commercialised holiday for businesses to make more money. I feel like what those people don’t realise is that businesses will find any opportunity to make some profit – be it Valentine’s Day or International Ice Cream Day. That would also make Christmas a commercialised holiday but that’s not really what it’s about.
To me Valentine’s Day is just like a birthday but for both of the people in the relationship – instead of showering one person with presents and flowers, it is a day for both of them. Of course I believe in treating your partner lovingly and appreciating them every day. However, this day is a day to go an extra mile to make the one you love even happier because I’m sure people won’t have money or time to do it every single day to this extent. I’m not saying you have to make a big deal out of Valentine’s Day but I quite like celebrating it as it just makes me happy and I really don’t get why anyone would have a problem with such a positive day. The more positivity in this world the better!
My boyfriend and I were meant to go for a meal and then to the cinema. However, he wanted to surprise me. When I got home from university, feeling more tired than ever, I was surprised with candles, flowers and the cutest teddy bear! There were candles all over the room and it looked so magical. He had ordered pizza from my favourite restaurant ever and combined the meal out with a movie night. This night couldn’t have been any more perfect! Here are a few pictures of how I spent my Valentine’s Day…
